INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS
We have adopted the Moi University - Journal of Humanities publication guidelines. These guidelines mirrors universally accepted standard for scientific writing.
Introduction
A manuscript should be of a minimum of 11 and maximum of 21 double spaced font 12 articles including original or scanned tables, graphs, diagrams or maps. Reports, comments and reviews should be much shorter than 11 pages.
Each manuscript must have a detachable cover page showing the authors names and title of manuscript, address, institutional affiliation, e-mail and phone numbers. The actual article should contain only the title with no other identifiers.
There should be a 1 1/2 inch left margin and 1 inch on all other sides of an A4 page. Submit 3 hard copies of the manuscript and a soft copy. The soft copy can be by e-mail or on diskette.
CITATIONS
The author and year format to be used for references cited in the text with page numbers where necessary e.g. (Akong'a , 2006:111) or "as observed by Akong'a (2006:111)”. Newspapers can be cited as follows: (citizen, 24.12.2004:20); or the name of the author as appropriate.
Articles of the same year by one author should be differentiated by adding {a}, {b}, and {c} etc.
Issues for elaboration should be numbered throughout the text and placed at the end of the article as "endnotes".
For internet article: cite item, website, date and time.
REFERENCE
Every manuscript should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 250 words.
Works cited in the text should be organized in alphabetical order using the following format and placed at the end:For books: Oluoch, M. {1999}, The Uasin Gishu Faming Success Story, Eldoret: Moi University Press.
For book articles {Kemori, F.N. 1999}, "Small Scale Wheat Farming in Uasin Gishu" {pp 50 - 100} in R. M. Oluoch {Ed} The Uasin Gishu Farming Success Story, Eldoret: Moi University Press.
For Journal articles: Jebet O. M. {2003} "Land use Conflicts in Kapkoi" In Journal of Society, Vol.11, No. 4:27-30.
EDITORIAL POLICY
The African Ethnobiology Journal is an interdisciplinary publication. It provides a forum for well thought out articles, books and audiovisual reviews, reports, comments and academic oriented advertisements. The focus of the journal is on recent developments in Human development, science and Social Sciences theory, methodology, research, policy analysis and the application of knowledge to understanding and alleviation of physical, social, psychological, spiritual, cultural and development challenges. Articles will normally appear in English. However, an English translation abstract of an article written in an alternative language should accompany such an article.
Views expressed in the articles and reviews are those of the authors and should not be construed as reflecting the opinions of the www.plantsinteractions.co.uk, employers of the authors or our sponsors
