This popular page is for book and article reviews.We also include technical white papers. We have an open door policy to all writers; known, unknown, newspaper reporters and individual comments. We believe that through open-submissions, talents are discovered and nurtured to greater glory. So, we take on board, both writers and those writing about writers.
However, although we welcome gifted amateurs and all those interested we have set some controls to stop this forum from degenerating to anarchy.
Book and Article reviewers
We suggest the following form for book and article reviews submitted to us:- Full title of book
- Name of author
- Publishing company (you may include the address)
- Date of publication and price
- Your name, short biography and address.
Some basic rules
- Write in proper English (if in other language-say Swahili, then discuss with the editor in advance)
- Simplicity and dignity should be your guiding principles
- Avoid dangling participles and pretentious sentences
- Avoid show-off and unncessary professional jargons unless the subject is really specialised
- Be insightful, witty, reasoned, literate and make all comments short and precise
- Avoid repetitive phrases and sentences.
- Be original. Copying puts god to sleep
- Remember, you are not on search-and-destroy mission, so give credit and criticism in equal measure as the situation demands.
Remember, we are in this business as volunteers so it might take a few days before responding to you. Be patient.
